What people ask before signing up: cost, safety, privacy and how it works.
A community where Atılım University students look after each other’s pets for free. A student going on holiday posts a request and another student pet-sits. There are also adoption listings for animals looking for a home, pet photos, and a list of 24/7 vets near campus.
No, it is completely free and voluntary. No money changes hands: the owner only leaves the food, litter and supplies. Adoption listings are free too.
Only people with an Atılım University email (@student.atilim.edu.tr or @atilim.edu.tr). You confirm your account with the link sent to that email, or use “Continue with Google” with your Atılım Google account (@student.atilim.edu.tr); personal Gmail accounts are not accepted. That way everyone on the site really is from Atılım. Use your plain address: addresses with a “+” part (name+1@…) are not accepted, so everyone has one account.
Yes. Anyone can pet-sit, owners too. When someone near you posts a request you get a notification (you can turn it off on the Account and privacy page) and you can offer on any request.
Logged-in students see your name, photo and area on your profile. Your phone number is shown only to the person you are matched with, after the match. Your exact address and your university email are never shown to any other user; you agree on a meeting place with your match in the chat. The photo and description of a lost or found post are open to anyone with its link (no login needed); the poster’s name and profile are never shown.
Read the privacy notice →When you post a request, students near you are notified and send offers; you can also invite favorite sitters who looked after your pet before. You look at their profiles: stays they completed, how many owners came back to them, helper points and badges, and their average rating once they have enough ratings. Each sitter chooses how many pets they can take at once; if they are full you cannot accept them and pick another offer. When you accept someone, a chat opens and you see each other’s phone numbers.
You write the food, routine and things to watch out for in the handover checklist; the handover and the return are confirmed by both sides (the handover from the day before the stay, the return from its first day). The sitter can share daily photo updates, and you can message each other any time. When the stay ends, both sides rate each other: nobody can see the rating you gave, profiles only show an average, and it is updated after every third rating. Stays between the same two people count at most once a week toward helper points, stay counts and the average. If a stay has ended and the return is not confirmed, the side that has not confirmed gets a reminder the day after the end and another one three days later.
For a health emergency, the list of 24/7 vets near campus is on the site and opens without logging in. You can block or report someone who bothers you: only the admins see your report, and the person you report is not notified. Admins can take a listing down or suspend an account.
Emergency vets list →Free listings for animals that need a home. People who want to adopt apply; when the poster accepts an application, you see each other's name and phone number. To post or apply you need a phone number on your profile. If you found an animal without its owner, post it in "Lost and found pets" first: its owner may be looking for it.
Before you adopt: the pet guide →Yes. On the My account page you can download a copy of your data or delete your account permanently; your profile, requests, messages and photos are deleted.
You don’t need to download anything from a store: add the site to your phone’s home screen and it opens like an app, with notifications for offers, messages and so on. The “Get the app” button at the bottom of the page shows how.
Check your spam folder first. If it is not there either, tap “Send it again” on the login page and enter your university email; we will send the confirmation link again. A link works for 15 minutes; if yours has expired, ask for a new one the same way. One email can be sent per minute.
On the login page tap “Forgot password?” and enter your university email. Open the link in the email and choose a new password.
